In 2012, he, together with his colleague Agnieszka Oryl, brought out the Brzezin variety by complex crossing several clones of the blackberry Black Satin and Darrow. These parent varieties are characterized by high productivity and excellent taste.

The Brzezina variety was propagated for further use in the laboratory of the Institute of Horticulture, which is located in the Polish city of Brzezne.
